Emma Marie Susi, B.S. Neuroscience
Bio
Hello, I'm Emma!
I'm 19 years old and was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. I'm an undergraduate researcher at Florida Atlantic University, and will be graduating with my bachelors in Neuroscience and Behavior December of 2023. My next goal is to patent a low-cost assistive communication brain-computer interface.
I am currently gaining hands-on experience at the Machine Perception and Cognitive Robotics lab at FAU, and the Neuroscience Research Facility at FAU's Honors College to further my knowledge in both neuroscience and technology
Research Interests
My academic journey is deeply rooted in the fascinating world of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and the intricacies of human-computer interactions
Intrigued by the potential for neurotechnology to restore and enhance lives, my goal is to pursue graduate studies in Neuroscience to maximize my impact in the field. I aspire to delve into the realm of intracortical BCIs, exploring their applications for neurorestoration and assistive communication
In the future, my ambition is to patent a low-cost, accessible assistive communication BCI leveraging Electroencephalography (EEG) signals, contributing to the empowerment of individuals with communication challenges
