Emma Marie Susi, B.S. Neuroscience
Bio
Hello, I'm Emma!

I'm 20 years old and was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Florida Atlantic University in December of 2023, and am currently in The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry's Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP).
At UR PREP, I plan to dive deeper into computational cognitive neurophysiology and neural signal processing under Dr. Edmund Lalor

Research Interests
My academic journey is deeply rooted in the fascinating world of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and the intricacies of human-computer interactions
Intrigued by the potential for neurotechnology to restore and enhance lives, my goal is to pursue graduate studies in Neuroscience to maximize my impact in the field. I aspire to delve into the realm of intracortical BCIs, exploring their applications for neurorestoration and assistive communication
In the future, my ambition is to patent a low-cost, accessible assistive communication BCI leveraging Electroencephalography (EEG) signals, contributing to the empowerment of individuals with communication challenges
